And the story goes…
Once upon on time in Oxford, way back in the early noughties we were promoting a hot London show for an act we were working with but had no way of selling advance tickets. We wanted a ticket outlet and because the venue didn’t have a box office we were keen set up our own.
After some pub-based brainstorming we developed a paperless ticket, based on reference numbers and sold them through our music merchandise website www.OxfordMusic.net.
Then…
We launched WeGotTickets in 2002 when we set-up an online box office for The Zodiac venue in Oxford. The service was so popular and worked so well that we started offering it to a few friends and colleagues who (luckily) owned venues and promoted shows - they used it, liked it and recommended it too…
It didn’t stop there…
We’ve continued to develop the site based on feedback from you our ticket buying customers, promoters and venues to make it uniquely user friendly to both ticket buyers and sellers.
Today we work with over 1000 venues and promoters.

Like you we are happy to pay a small charge for the convenience of booking on-line - but we know when we're being ripped off. We operate a ticketless system – meaning we use less paper (so try and remember your booking reference code is the ticket, not the email), saves postage, saves time waiting for the post, saves money and looking for lost tickets!
